The Texas Zoo is being transformed into a winter wonderland! Join us on select weekends in December, Dec. 9th-11th & 16th-18th, for Zoo lights, hot chocolate, candy canes, and SANTA! Take a ride on the Reindeer Express and gather around for a Christmas story every hour on the half-hour. After visiting booths from local businesses, don't forget to vote for your favorite tree on the Trail of Trees!
Regular admission prices, members free.
All proceeds go directly back to our animal residents and the Texas Zoo mission!
Join the Fun!
Your business or organization can show their Christmas spirit by setting up and decorating a Christmas tree for the Trail of Trees! Trail of Tree participants are also invited to set up a booth on Christmas nights to pass out treats and play games with guests.
Guidelines:
- Businesses are responsible for providing their own real or fake 5-7 ft tree
You may decorate your tree however you'd like but the following items are PROHIBITED: - Edible Ornaments such as chocolate or candy canes
Glass Ornaments
Lights requiring an outlet (solar powered lights or lights that have a switch are perfectly fine) - Stop by the zoo anytime between the hours of 9am to 5pm to set up your tree. Voting begins Dec. 1 and runs through January 4th. Winners will be announced January 7th. Tree clean up will be the following week January 2nd-15th. Any and all remaining trees not picked up by January 15th will be removed by staff.
** We are not liable for any damages caused by wind or rain. If you are using lights it is recommended that they be waterproof on the chance we receive rainfall.**

Be a part of Christmas Nights!
As a participant in our Trail of Trees, your business will also have the opportunity to sponsor a free booth at our Christmas Nights. Christmas Nights will take place Dec. 9th-11th, and Dec. 16th-18th from 6PM-9PM. You do not have to commit to every night. Much like our Zoo Boo, Christmas Nights will give you the opportunity to interact with the community and market your business while spreading Christmas cheer through safe, socially distanced crafts or activities.
