2026 Texas Zoo Summer Camp


Get ready for a summer full of wildlife, learning, and hands-on adventure at the Texas Zoo!

Our 2026 Summer Camp is a half-day camp for ages 5–13, running from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Campers will enjoy animal encounters, educational lessons, games, crafts, enrichment activities, behind-the-scenes zoo experiences, and more.

Week 1 • July 13–17

Reptiles, Mammals & Birds Oh My!

Campers will explore the differences between reptiles, mammals, and birds through games, touch tables, animal encounters, and hands-on activities.

Week 2 • July 20–24

Complete Zootrition

What’s on the menu at the zoo? Campers will discover how different animals eat, how diets are prepared, and how nutrition helps animals stay healthy and active.

Week 3 • July 27–31

Zoo Keeper Week

Step into the role of a zookeeper! Campers will learn about habitat care, feeding routines, enrichment, training, and basic animal care responsibilities.

Our Goal

Our goal is to inspire campers to:
learn about animals → understand animal care → experience the role of a keeper → explore conservation and the bigger picture of wildlife protection.
