ZOO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Question: I found an injured/orphaned animal. What do I do?
First, assess the situation and make sure the animal requires intervention. After you have determined that rehabilitation is necessary, please contact one of the local wildlife rehabilitators listed on our page Local Animal Rehab List.
Question: Can I bring my pets to the zoo?
As much as we love animals, pets are not allowed in the Zoo due to biosecurity reasons.
Question: Can I bring my service dog to the zoo?
Service animals are welcome on Zoo grounds under the care of their owner. We ask that all guests with service animals inform our gift shop of your arrival and register their animal. Service animals must remain under their owner’s control at all times and are not allowed in free contact areas such as the Aviary and Petting Zoo.
*Please note that emotional support animals, assistance animals, or companion animals are not allowed in the Zoo.*
Question: When does the zoo open?

Question: Can we bring food or drink into the zoo?
Outside food and drink are not allowed into the zoo. Exceptions: bottled water and baby food/formula.
Question: Does the Zoo have strollers for rent?
We have strollers for rent for $2 per day. However, we do not have any wheelchairs for rent.
Question: Does the Zoo have wheelchairs for rent?
The Zoo has one wheelchair which can be used by guests free of charge, but it cannot be reserved. You can call ahead to the gift shop to check availability.
Question: Does the Zoo close due to the weather?
We are open rain or shine, unless the severity of the weather poses a threat to the safety of our guests and staff. If we do close for a weather event, we will post the news on our website and the Zoo’s social media accounts. We do not offer rain checks or refunds due to inclement weather.
Question: Can I smoke at the Zoo?
No. The Zoo is a smoke and vape-free facility to ensure the health and safety of the animals that call it home. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on Zoo grounds.
Question: What other items are prohibited on Zoo grounds?
For the safety of other Zoo guests and our animals, glass containers, weapons, alcohol, bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, radios/CD players, whistles, straws, and inflatable objects are not allowed on Zoo grounds..
